Autism Certified City

A major advocacy initiative for CAAN is our pursuit of a designation as an Autism Certified City (ACC) for the Capital Area.

In partnership with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, we are seeking to help coordinate education and training for businesses, governmental entities, organizations, hospitals and clinics, nonprofits, and NGOs in five industries: Healthcare, Public Safety, Schools and Education, Hospitality and Recreation, and Workplace Inclusion. By focusing on organizations within these five industries, the Baton Rouge area can become a more welcoming, inclusive place for citizens and visitors of all abilities.
